About the Stone

Despite its trade name, Mystic Merlinite is not true Merlinite. It is a coarse-grained igneous rock known as Indigo Gabbro, composed primarily of feldspar, quartz, plagioclase, pyroxene and amphibole, with traces of magnetite and other dark minerals creating its distinctive marbled appearance.

Most Indigo Gabbro on the market originates from Madagascar, where it is prized for its unusual colour patterns and occasional shimmering inclusions.
